Disposables for very long newborn?

My DS2 is 4 days old and I'm using Huggies size 1, they are leaking wee like he's not even wearing a nappy. I think the problem is he's 58.5cm long and 9lb, so very long (off the chart) and skinny (just under 91st cen). Any ideas as to a better brand please advise?

Scrap the sposies and go for a modern washable nappy with separate waterproof cover. Works much better than sposies, and much cheaper as well ;)

Thanks, I've only put my Motherease birth to potty bamboo away for a couple of weeks whilst I juggle my yet to be potty trained toddler and a newborn in my tiny flat with no drying area.

Try attitude ones - you can get them from ocado, and probably other websites too. They fit my DS well as they are size 1-2 he's about the same size as your's, just a bit older Wink he's about the same length and about 9lb9 now and they still fit well.

I would try him in size 2 - I never used size 1's with either of my two and they were only 8lb. Also - and I may be stating the obvious here, but make sure his tinkle (or whatever you call it) is pointing down and that the frills around the legs are untucked.

Reusables are another option....
