How often should I wash a 1yo's hair?

When dd was very little she had cradle cap and ever since we have been in the habit of washing her hair every evening. However her hair is thickening up quite a lot now so is taking longer to dry.

I was just wondering what other people do really.

DD is fourteen months and has been shampooed once or twice. She has plenty of hair but just rinse it if dirty. Seems fine! Hardly use soap on her either.

My 15 month old's hair gets wet in the bath nearly every night - but i only shampoo it once or twice a week. Certainly after swimming, and often after a long day at nursery when his hair seems stiff with food and dirt! It's so fine that it's dry by the time he;s in bed.

My Ds is 14 months and it's only ever been rinsed with water, it's still very babyish and fluffy and food rinses out so shampoo seems unnecessary IMO

We wash DD's hair every time she has a bath. This is usually every other day but sometimes most days a week, depends on what she's been doing and how much food she's got in her hair.
