Any ideas? Please help

Hi everyone,

My baby girl is nearly 9 months old.

Last Thursday she wasn't well, ha a temp very clingy and wasn't her self. She had a few loader stools.

Friday she still wasn't well and had tempature so I took her to get checked over. Doctor said virus she has a little bit of a sore throat.

Next few nights were what u would exspecting from a poorly little girl up a few times giving calpol etc. Saturday no more tempature at all eating normally sleeping normally.

Then Monday she is so wingey (not like her at all) so so clingy if anyone walks out of room and every other night is awful, crying putting dummy in crying, plays avout crys some more etc. No tempature slight looser stools and tiny bit if sore bum.

I just don't know what up she is my 3 rd
Baby and I dot have a clue usually if one of them are ill I know and they et better etc. Help please

Hello...could your little one be teething?

She already had 2 bottom teeth, and was fine with those coming through.

She hasn't got any signs that there are more teeth cutting or anything?

My DS was the same...typical symptoms with the first 2 teeth..then only had terrible nappies whilst he was teething with 5 teeth & then had constipation & wind teething with the 2 newest teeth!
There was no obvious signs for a week or so that he was teething.
This is just my experience. I would recommend if you are still worried speak to the HV or GP.

She is just not her self she is usually so happy an she just winges all the time.

I'm wish I new.

Wishing you & your DS all the best...if your instincts are telling you that something isn't right...you know your baby better than anyone...so speak to HV or GP if you are still not sure.

my DS is the same at the moment.... i spoke to HV and apparently their top two teeth are harder to cut and this is why they are out of sorts :( hope this helps :P

my DS never had any problems cutting his bottom teeth, i did realise he had them till he bit my finger lol!

Teething can cause the loose nappies as can having a cold.

I've just been through the same thing. Baba has changed! - he's also having this separation anxiety thing, its a normal phase - as he becomes ready to be mobile, they need to know what their 'safe' places (or 'anchors') are ie you! - so for a bit they'll be over sensitive to the things that relate to this, or threaten his safety. Mine is suddenly sobbing when the hoover is turned on and i have to take him in and sit him on the bathroom floor if i need a wee!
I see it all as part of his development, but get advice from your HV, like Rogers1 says if you need it.

Oh gosh yes she is very much the same cries as soon as I leave the room infect anyone leaves the room.

It was almost like a over night change.

Louisean - can u see teeth coming through. She has no red gums to suggest there is any coming.

I agree it could well be teething, particularly with horrible nappies and sore bum but it could just be her way of getting over whatever bug she's had. All three of mine behaved like that for some time after a bout of being quite ill. DD2 still does in fact. I always say I cope fine with looking after them when they're ill it's when they start getting better that it gets really hard. They all became seriously clingy and cried at the drop of a hat. This could go on for days. Obviously keep an eye out for symptoms but it could be post illness grumpiness that all mine had. Whatever it is I hope she gets better soon poor mite.
