dd(3) has started wettign herself!

she has been dry during the day for a month or so, but has had 3 accidents in the last 2 days!

don't know where this has come from...

she still uses nappies when she needs a poo, brings one to me, puts it on, poos takes it straight off. said when she wet herself thats she forgot she didnt have a nappy on... is this common???

my sympathies. My dd has just turned 3 and has been dry for almost a year. In the last few weeks, she keeps wetting herself and not telling us and over the last week has soaked her bed every night, even though I'm lifting her for a wee at 11pm.

I'm at the end of my tether

what do u think sparks it off?

I think it's pretty normal - they go through a stage where they get involved in what they're doing and forget to think about the toilet. If it's any consolation, it will get better.

No idea. She never does it at nursery but did it twice at the childminders last week, soaking her freshly cleaned carpet and twice within an hour at home tonight. But yesterday, we were out and she was desparate for the loo and held on for 15 minutes till we got home.

I think she gets lazy and then is scared to own up for fear of being told off.

We've put a sensor light in both her room and the bathroom but she still refuses to call out for the loo or go to the loo by herself at night.

Could you put a potty in her room? My Ds is 3 1/2 and won't go to the toilet on his own, but he does always call out though (luckily!)

Hi, thought we had cracked it too. dd1 (25 mths) has been potty trained and dry for around 3 months. got the hang of it straight away. was delighted. the past week, every time we take her to the toilet she has wet her pants already. had 5 changes of clothes today due to accidents. we've tried telling her off, removing treats, naughty step, but she just doesn't seem bothered! I'm going to stick with it and assume that it is just a phase. As wigwambam said, i think she is just too involved with what she is doing and forgets to go.
