Good books on girls, specifically friendship issues and how to help

I have dd, 5.11, and I think I need to consider how to handle friendship stuff. I am prone to panic on all things parenting and think perhaps a book on it might help. I want to avoid knee jerk panic-I fear her not having friends and want to do the best I can to help dd have strong friendships as they are so important to me. My parents have rubbish people skills and it has taken me a long time to learn to be a good friend. I'd like to make dd's path more straightforward if possible.

they are probably a bit old for her now, but the jaqueline wilson books deal with lots of issues - including friendships - very well. My dd enjoyed them from about 7 :)
