I've been texting a friend who has a month old dd. They have discovered that she will only sleep on Mum. They've tried pick up put down, warming her moses matress.. all sorts, but don't know what to do next!!!!!

Any ideas? My friend is worried from a safety point of view but clearly there are the other issues too....

dd only slept on me for 4 or 5 months! I remember lying in bed, b'feeding, then very slowly moving away from her to turn over & go to sleep (I'm a single mum). She didn't start sleeping by herself (apart from the odd unusual occasion when I could put her down without waking her) when I did cc at nearly 6 months old.

Is the mum b'feeding? If she is, it might help to squeeze some breast milk onto baby's sheets or blanket. I did that with dd but can't say it necessarily worked, hard to tell...

Tbh it's so early at 1 month to really suggest anything, everything changes so quickly in the early days...
