i was wondering when you are allowed to give a baby ice cream?

after 6 months I think.

and also i know you shouldn't give citrus fruits til they are 6 months, but what about in a squash or juice form?

I only give water until 12 months (but then I'm really mean)

Check for egg in the ingredients, although most commercial ice creams use pasteurised egg but if you have a history of allergies may want to delay introducing egg

i wouldnt give a baby 'normal' shop ice cream for ages and ages. have you noticed main ingredaint is "partially reconsituted whey protein"? (whats that?

however once they are about 10 months id probably consider giving them my home made ice cream (ingrediants (cooked) egg yolk, sugar milk and cream and vanilla) tho TBH when they are little id rather give them yogurt and fruit puree etc!

I find very often babies dont seem to like ice cream until they are nearer 2 (unless ice cream in cone on hot day) maybe its too cold

Echoing NannyL....mine hated ice cream (not that she got offered it very often) until about 22 months: too cold. Now, at 2, she sometimes gets it for pudding when we're out at a restaurant....she likes it now, but only if I 'warm it up' (ie mush it up to liquid).
