Nappy wash

With DS I had the lollipop wash which seemed to do the trick. But was wondering if anyone had any other recommendations as am using cloth with DD. I used napisan as that is all I have in the house but remember lollipop lady saying it wasn't good for elastic.

I don't use Napisan or any nappy-specific product but I have used Tots Bots Potion in the past and it is really nice. I've used Ecover non-bio powder with no problems and more recently I've been using Bold 2-in-one powder as recommended by loads of bods on here and elsewhere. It has a clay-based fabric conditioner which doesn't clog up nappies and keeps them nice and soft. Seems to do the trick.

Soap nuts are great and soooo cheap!

I just use Tesco non bio. I tried napisan for a bit as lots of people on another forum were talking about it but it gave my DD nappy rash - and Little Lamb have just recently posted on Facebook saying they do not recommend the use of sanitisers such as Napisan and explained all the ins and outs of it.

Mmmmm... I know napisan isn't great but thought the others were better. Oh well maybe just stick with non-bio.

Just seen this thread, I'm sure sanitisers like napisan are too harsh for elastic and velcro. I found this website really helpful - www.hunnybums.com - they seem to explain all about washing, sanitisers etc in quite a lot of detail

The nicest sanitiser, by far, is the Clean and Fresh sold by Lollipop. I didn't bother with sanitiser when I washed my nappies - I felt the non-bio and my washing machine did a perfectly good job. But I now often put a scoop of Clean and Fresh in my normal laundry as it smells so divine when it come out (lavender).

I like the BioD sanitiser, as Im sure it's eco-friendly.

A little bit of Bold. A tablespoon. Does the trick here.
