My 3 wk old dd2 hasn't had a dirty nappy in 2 days. She's been exclusively breastfed and I don't know if this is normal ??
Sorry to be brief but she's feeding on left side while I type one-handed.
She's feeding well though and seems fine otherwise. Anyone any experience of this ???
TIA

Totally normal I would say. Dd can go 5 days. Warning - the longer they go, the bigger the explosion when they final poo! Have spare clothes at the ready!.

angelmother, my mw says that up to 10 days without a poo is normal for a baby, it doesn't even mean they are constipated as musica say, you may have an explosion at the end of the wait....

Yes,at about 6 weeks my ds went from doing a poo
about 4 times a day to doing one about every 7 days! I agree with musica have a change of clothes ready. I used to need a carrier bag instead of a nappy bag to put the dirty nappy and wipes in!

angelmother, my first baby used to go every 10 days or so. I used to dread going out near to the day I knew he was going to explode! He never showed any signs of discomfort or constipation.

Got to just add about my dd. She was on her 7th day without poo. We were at MIL's. DD was a bit crotchety (understandably!). She was lying on cream sofa, me next to her. then GIANT explosion. Sofa's never been same since but MIL was fab "poor wee mite, she must be feeling better now. Come on hen, let's get you cleaned up" Now there's a MIL in a million!
