Not sure if this is the correct place for this, but.....

What do you do with your little ones to keep them entertained?

Dont worry if it seems obvious as whats obvious to you may not be to me or others:)

We can then steal each others ideas :)

Water. Fill bucket from one pot, carry to another pot and empty. Keeps DS2.5 amused for hours!

Also we can use this for when we are racking our brains what to do today! My baby brain sometimes means all i can think is park, park, park!

I will start one off...

. Make pizzas (muffins cut in half, tomato puree, cheese and toppings) v easy and yummy!
. Potato stamping. Cut shapes into bottoms and stamp into paint.
. Seasonal pictures - go for a walk and pick up seasonal items then stick on paper when you get home.
. DVD afternoon for the older ones. Draw curtains and pop some corn.
. Lots of bubbles in the kitchen sink, stand them on a chair and let them wash their toys - works for mine, especially dollies/cars :)
. Home made playdough.
. Write a letter/make picture and post to a friend/family member.
. Around birtdays or Christmas give them the Argos catalogue and get them to cut or rip out things they like - obviously explain they are not getting everything! Take picture with you when shopping :)
. Go on a bug hunt.
. Swimming - A lido on a hot day is brilliant :)
. Wash the car.
. Create a table football on the kitchen table made out of things around the house.

Hmmmmm not sure if any of those will be any use to anyone?? Hope so :)

Hopefully get some good ideas from you :)

EarthMotherImNot · 24/08/2011 07:52

We have a paved area in our garden and i used to buy cheap packs of chalks and let the drawer on the paving safe in the knowledge that the next shower would wash it clean again.

Bubbles they can blow outside.
On a chair at the sink washing any plastic or unbreakable cups etc.
