ds1 - I'm a big boy - no nappy at bed mummy

Ds1 has been dry in the day since 2 and has mastered pooing as well now, he still wears a nappy at night but in the last few days has really not wanted too, insisting he is a big boy. Trouble is, if he ever naps in bed (and this only happens if he naps in bed) during the day he ALWAYS wets the bed. So, how do I go about getting his dry at night??

I am dreading it!

What about.....

A pair of washable padded pants (like old men wear)? Would he be fooled?

no, and the other trouble is that he is so skinny his jamma's fall down if he has no nappy on!

Does he have to wear PJ bottoms? does he insist? my ds hates them and wont wear them, but he is still in nappies at night.

He would get cold with out them, and I don't think he would like it?

Maybe I should get him some pull ups? Should he be dry at night now?

He is still quite young really, give it a go because he is asking.

There is no should about being dry at night. Any time from successful day potty training until around 7 is considered normal ! Personally I don't think you can force it before they are physically ready and mine were both just short of 4 when they became dry at night, of their own volition. We used pull-ups as a half way house.

my ds1 did the same when he hit 3. We picked him up and took him to the loo when we went to bed, and he was OK most nights. There were still nights when he wet the bed but he wouldn;t wear nappies / pull-ups etc so we had to get on with it.

I think I will get him some pull ups - Maybe he doesn't like nappies cos his baby brother wears them!
