a previous suicide would be taken into account, as well as how long ago it was, but it would not stop either a PR or Contact Order being granted because there is so many options available regarding contact, eg supervised, unsupervised, direct, indirect.

privately paying a solicitor it would costs probably somewhere in the region of £2,500-£5,000 if it is pretty straight forward but could to £10,000 if really contested, reports are done, ie drug and alcohol testing etc, court fees,

legal aid would mean it would cost nothing
