still not got em FS??

flamesparrow · 30/11/2005 09:56

Nope Emailed the woman explaining about me losing the will to live now... and no reply yet. I asked if I could change to bamboozles instead a while ago, just so I get a nappy before the baby is 2, and was told that they were due in halfway through the next week (about 2 1/2 weeks ago)... still no nappies, and no reply to latest email.

I just want to check that they do exist now, and that people have them, so that I can rant safe in the knowledge that I'm not insane!!!

I received mine last week from The natural baby resource, I had to ring up twice to find out where it was though! ordered it months ago.

I have just looked on their website and it says they wont be getting size ones till Jan which size did you want? I prefer bamboozles to be honest, I would probably ring up and swap your order if I were you. She has never replied to any of my emails and always claims she never received them when I ask!

munz · 30/11/2005 10:15

oooh give em a call hon - has she tsaken the money from your account yet? v poor form and unlike her I must admit.

flamesparrow · 30/11/2005 10:18

this is appalling. Firstly to take money with no goods, and then to not bother to update the customer.

I'm at the stage now of I just want my money back and i'll go somewhere else!

The annoying thing is she had a special offer a week or two ago on the fluffle poppers birth to potty packs I think? £15 off. She must have had a fair few in at the time to be able to do that! She should really have sent out all the back orders first!!!

munz · 30/11/2005 10:29

well quite - thats when I got my nippa ones.

def ring her - how did u pay? - was it paypal? she should at the v least get them out to u and offer a discount.

def should have done back orders first.

flamesparrow · 30/11/2005 10:31

I have sent a very long and ranty speech in the "contact us" section (can't phone right now, builders too noisy) - If i haven't heard by end of tomorrow, I'll be phoning and ranting.

It was meant to be a trial run on my friend's baby so that if I liked it, I could order a whole pack for mine when it comes... I told them it was doubtful I'd be doing that now because by the time my order turned up, the newborn would probably be potty trained.

Yup, paid by paypal. I don't care anymore about discoutns or anything else, just send me a bamboozle or my money. I'm tired and can't be bothered anymore.

That's very unusual for Maebh ( the lady who runs Naturalbabyresource ). I've ordered from her many times with no problems and great communication. I do know she is about 7 months pg, which although not really an excuse, it might explain the blip.

flamesparrow · 30/11/2005 10:34

If it was just one thing, I wouldn't be so bothered, but it is that fact that I have had no contact from their end at all about any of the delays.... anything I know, I found out from here, and then contacted them about

SUCCESS!!!

Hormonal ranty message with phone number attached worked

Do feel a tad embarrassed now Poor woman is 7 months pregnant with #4 and has had tots let her down with all the problems, then she gets people like me ranting at her.

Anyway, long story short... Bamboozle on its way out today!!! She was soooo nice to me.

lol - glad it's all sorted for you. shame u didn't get your fluffle.

flamesparrow · 30/11/2005 13:19

I'd been going off the fluffle the more I read about the bamboozle anyway

Does anyone else find their fluffles smell worse when wee'd upon than other nappies?

I got one (yes, from Maebh) and it's embarressing how bad it can smell after only and hour or two, I now don't put it on DS when we go out in case he is shunned by his peers - he doesn't normally smell bad?

RosiePosie · 01/12/2005 09:11

Yes, I've noticed this with any of the synthetic nappies - especially the microfibre ones. Maybe it holds onto the urine and detergent residue more than cotton nappies. Have you tried washing it on a hotter temperature than usual with no detergent added, to give it a thorough rinse?

By the way, how soft is the fluffle? I can't stand the feeling of microfibre, it makes my skin crawl - is the fluffle microfibre softer than other microfibre?

munz · 01/12/2005 09:24

RP - i'd describe mine as 'fleecy in feel' don't know if it changes once washed/used. is it best to biol them once a week do you think? would napsan/soaking help prevent the 'peey' smell? are normal tots'bamboozles the same?

misdee · 01/12/2005 09:31

i think the fluffle feels horrible. it doesnt 'catch' on your skin like the microfibre inserts for fuzzis, but the 'catch' is stil lthere IYKWIM.

get a bamboozle!!

munz · 01/12/2005 09:33

ah misdee me old mucker! how do u wash urs then?

misdee · 01/12/2005 09:34

in a washing machne

prewash, then 60degree normal wash.

vkone · 01/12/2005 10:39

That's the thing, it smells fine once washed but the pee smell is alot stronger than on say a Bamboozle (which I love BTW). It does stay soft tho and just dries so fast

munz · 01/12/2005 10:45

do you mean after a wet change before it's put in the wash?

how about the whole lavender thing? - when do u do that?

lol@misdee! good job I was plannig on hand wash! lol.

RosiePosie · 01/12/2005 11:01

I've already got bamboozles - no munz, I don't find the pee smell lingers in nappies made from natural fibres so much. If it does start to build up, a good hot rinse wash sorts it out. Thanks for the input re. fluffles - I think I'll give them a miss, because I really can't stand the catchy feel of microfibre - like finger nails down a black board!
