Does your 5/6 month old do this?

I'm only asking because DS has just started doing this and I'm wondering if it's normal or if he's uncomfortable!

He's been relatively quiet up until now but he's started shouting! not crying, just shouting - a lot - and very loudly. Mainly when I stop playing with him / he wants a change of scene / he's tired etc. It seems like most of the time Grin.

Is this normal?

Nice to know my DS is not alone! It is horribly ear piercing sometimes though... And I rush over to see if he's ok and he gives me a big grin so nothing wrong at all! I guess they're just priming the vocal chords!

Dinosaur noises? Grin

Hope it's normal because both of mine have done it very loudly

slimyak · 24/07/2011 21:32

Hell yes. Dd1 used to make all kinds of word sounding noises - Abu, hadar, aqua and such like. Dd2 screeches like a pterodactyl - funny but definitely brain jangling.

Yes, my DD is very shouty at times - particularly when she is getting tired but doesn't want to go to sleep as being up is more interesting...
