Its nothing majorly important but, i had a dd 10 weeks ago i already had 2 boys and so i have lots of blue things including her car seat and buggy so i decided to go and get her a nice new pram, BUT im now thinking the prams im interested in are the emaljunga (sp?) or mamas and papas ones that are all lovely and bouncy but how long are they useful for, i know you can get the chair 'bit' too, but im not one for buggering about with bits and bobs, i have also seen a really nice three wheeler with a car seat in a creamy/pale coffee colour at mothercare, it has fleecey-lined cosy toes and its really nice, which one should i go for? - i know it sounds like such a stupid thing to get confused over but i REALLY cant decide! and i need to make my mind up soon as dd has nothing to ride around in at the moment!

It all depends on when and what you will use if for most (apart from pushing you child around of course )

If you are going to be walking a lot then go for the 3 wheeler...as they can be more comfortable to push and look funky!

If you expect you will be going on buses and in the car more then the other ones are a lot easier to fold down.

To be honest aswell i wouldnt think she would be in the car seat for too much longer as they grow so fast and you will only have to get another.

Hope that helps

You probably wouldn't have much use for a full carrycot much beyond 6 months, combination of baby's size, wanting to sit up, weather changing etc. The seat units do generally go flat and reverse and with a cosy toe/fabric cover can be as cosy. Simiarly doubt you'd get much more use out of an infant seat as part of a travel system, can you not buy just the 3 wheeler on its own ? Have to say I've seen loads of those coffee coloured Urban Detours recently !

Hmm so have i LIZS! and thats not really a good thing is it? the problem i have with the car seat one is i like to switch them round so i can see them and have them forward facing too, the problem i have witht the pram is the messing around with taking the pram/chair of the frame, collapsing the frame fitting it all into the car, i was with a friend the other day who had one of those prams and it must have taken us 10 minutes just getting the pram into the boot! she was cursing the damn thing the entire time! whereas the 3 wheeler would be done in seconds i guess! but now i have my girl i wanted something very pink and girly so i guess after all that im not happy with either! told you i was bad at decisions! i have seen one called 'loola' which is pink and its great but i have heard bad things about it! - can anyone recommend a pram or buggy? i have a feeling i will be sat here going round in circles forever!
