Hi,

As many of you may know ( from my constant begging for help etc) that im currently on a two year health course, and about to go to uni next year.

this semester I have been set a Research topic piece, it is in an area that im very interested in and would like to work in further on in my career.
My topic is ' DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & THE ROLE OF THE HEALTH PROFESSIONAL'
in other words assessing the effectivness of NHS policies, with regards to DV.
ie are midwives screening for DV, if a HV suspects DV do they query it, do A&E staff query it etc.
in order to gain info I have constructed a questionnaire, I would be grateful if any ladies from mnet who have been subject to DV, would kindly participate in the questionnaire.

it is entirely confidential, i do not expect anybody to reply directly to this post as i appreciate how sensitive a subject it is.

if anyone is willing to participate then please e-mail me at [email protected] and i will forward a questionnaire via WORD doc. Again, i do not wish to know your name etc and all results will only be used in my research document. At no point do i wish to know who you are or where you are from.

I can also give name and contact number of my personal tutor if anyone wishes to verify any of the above.

thanks in advance, i hope some of you can help me.

Tiredemma,

Can't help you with your questionnaire but wondered if you are highlighting the child protection implications of domestic violence.

Given that more responsibility is being given to professionals to address issues of child protection - it follows that professionals should be enquiring about dv and following these enquiries up where appropriate.

Don't know if this is helpful/old news but good luck with your research project anyway.
