How did you start and did your baby still take the same amount of bottle fed. I started Eimear on a little baby rice yesterday but then she only took 4 ozs of her bottle usually was taking about 5 1/2 6 ozs. She seemed to take the baby rice Ok.

Another things she has had a few loose nappies yesterday and today and it is a bit green is this just because of the change to her diet?

Baby rice alone shouln't have affected her poo, has she got a cold ? How old is she ? Until about 6 months I did milk first as they shouldn't reduce milk intake before then.

My mum bought me the Practical Parenting guide to weaning, it's got a green cover and I wish I'd had it from the start of weaning cos I'm in a tiz over it now. Really reccomend it, it gives a guide to that kinds of food to give and at what general times of the day. It suggests to give solid food completely separate times from bottles so the baby is hungry enough to take both.
