I feel like such a terrible mother again today

Have been so impatient with them, esp. with dd2 who is 2.3 and really testing the boundaries. Why can't I do the "eye-level and firm voice but calm" thing? Always end up losing my rag...

I'm pregnant (11 weeks) and dh has been away since Tuesday, which explains it a bit, but it's no excuse I really don't want to be like this and hate myself now.

It explains a LOT. Don't give yourself a hard time, you are doing your best in not very easy circumstances xx

Don't give yourself a hard time - we all feel like this sometimes even those of us who aren't pregnant with a partner away.
