.... Should we put the cot back up? In the cot he slept in a sleeping bag would be all over the place but slept well. Now in the big bed it takes him so much longer to settle and despite tucking him in he tends to be on top of the bedding in the morning (hence runny nose?) afternoon naps not happening either even though he is super tired by 4pm! Last night put him back in his bag on top of bedding and a blanket over him... It was that or he gets cold! What to do?? Thanks

Keep him in his sleeping bag, or a warm sleepsuit. I had a padded sleepsuit for dd because she just couldn't bear covers. Has the toddler bed got a side to it? Might help make him feel more enclosed.

We've put our DD (2.5) in her toddler bed. Gave up with the quilt and she is back in her sleeping bag. Also have a side rail on it as she keeps falling out. bit by bit.......

How about after-lunch naps in cot and toddler beds in the evening? It's working for us at this inbetween stage. We'll take the cot away when the daytime naps are given up... And if he wants his sleeping bag (ask him - he'll tell you if he does), then give it to him.
