Bugaboo Bee slipping handles - can it be fixed?

'The latches that release and hold the handles on my bugaboo bee 2009 are loose and not working, meaning that I cannot extend the handles. The area where the problem is does not seem to have any nuts or screws so I can't open it and take a look. '

I've C&P'd this off the net cos I'm too lazy to type, but does anyone have a clue how to fix this? I bought off ebay like this and no I can't do a claim or return it, it was a private sale.

They appear to have drop-offs in London or charge for delivery. Might be worth more enquiries as they list loose Bugaboo Bee handles as things they can fix.

Sorry to butt in with a bit of a diversion here but can the Bee take the Maxi Cosi car seat with adapters?

Just wondering if I should sell my Bugaboo Cameleon but it niggles me that I might have a third and regret not being able to lift sleeping baby in car seat and pop it on the frame.

If the Bee could do this I would rather sell my Cameleon for now as it is getting in my way.

I had the same problem, and contacted Mothercare (where I bought the Bee), and they arranged for a new set of catches to be sent directly from Bugaboo.

I'm pretty sure if you contact Bugaboo directly, they will send some out. They took 5 mins to fit, and came as a prepackaged set, so they must be aware that there is an issue.

It's really easy to fix yourself. I bought the spare part for £14 and it took me about 20 mins to do it. Significantly better than the quoted £73 from a buggy fixers!!! There's a Youtube vid to talk you through it.

i just repaired this problem yesterday

on the old model that uses rivets to hold in the handle lock -

if its a post 2010 model you can do it yourself with a screwdriver and a sliver of rubber placed between the handle it self and the small metal part that is within the casing

do you live in london ?

if you do i have a rivet gun and some rivets i could do it if your interested mines back to normal now both locks working !

its the old model which is her together with rivets not screws like the post 2010 models
