Recommendations for a potty

DD is 8 mo but poos very predictably. I was thinking about putting her on a potty as I think the clean up afterwards might be more pleasant for her than a nappy. Please could you recommend a potty for us. Also do let me know if I am being mad.

I don't know if you want something fancy or not but I've been looking at some recently and the Asda Little Angels potty is only £1 and is virtually the same as the Mamas&Papas one for £9, similar shape design, same pearlised cream colour.

£1 sounds great. I was mooching around on Amazon and came across the Baby Bjorn for about £27 and hoping that it wouldn't turn out to be a must have. I guess it will get plenty of use, but I'd still rather spend £1 than nearly £30.

for a little one, one of the chair style ones might offer a bit more support as most children that are potty training are 2-3 years old so have good core strength etc.
I have two Ikea ones which are cheap and good as they have a good lip at the front to stop spills out the front (yes necessary even with girls!) so I have one downstairs and one upstairs but for out and about I have a cheap one I think MIL got at the pound shop - it doesn't have much of a lip but it is much smaller all over than the Ikea one so can be slung under the buggy easily (the Ikea one would not fit in my buggy basket).
Alternatively you can dangle her over the toilet if she is regular - my Mum says she did this with me as I was regular and she used terries so it saved washing!

What about this Hahahaha

That looks great. Do you think it comes with a suitable implement to get the poo out from between the crystals?

Lol i dont know but i hope they are not round the rim where LO sits or that could be quite uncomfy :s. There wouldnt be any crystals left anyway if my DD1 is anything to go by as she scrapes everything along walls as shes walking down the street Angry (not that i would even concider buying anything so ridiculous)
