Any tips for coping with a newborn and a 14-month old? I've just done the maths...
A bit of a surprise is an understatement but there's no going back now!

i had a 15month gap then an 18month gap and the smaller the better. the main thing i did was get ds1 used to being around babies and me holding babies. he didn't bat an eyelid when ds2 came along, ds2 slept all day and happily watched ds1 entertaining him, now they spend all day everyday playing pretty well on their own. there were a few tough times when ds2 was unsettled during growth spurts but so long as i could see ds1 then he didn't get up to much mischief. when i had my back turned he was scrubbing his cot sides with the loo brush.

Thanks for that, Naturalbaby. Can I ask you how you entertained DS1 whilst DS2 was being fed? I'm planing on breastfeeding again if poss. And how did you manage tea times: feeding the older one, bathtime, bed whilst the little one did what?
