My DD has very red nappy rash, after using sudacrem and then metanium with no improvement I called the gp who prescribed timodine over the phone, this seemed to be working yesterday but today it seems worse again and covering a larger area. Has anyone had experience of this and any advice or suggestions?

Metanium always worked for my little ones, but have you tried some nappy free time? Those absorbant changing mats are great for catching any accidents!!!

Are you just using cotton wool and water? if not try that or try a different brand of wipes.

Thanks - yes I am just using cotton wool and water. I have left her without a nappy for bursts of about 20 mins today each nappy change, but not sure if this is long enough - will try for longer periods tomorrow.

Thrush maybe? DS had it at about the same age.

Have you tried using chamomile tea with cotton wool instead of water for changes? That seems to help a little bit.

What kind of nappies are you using?
