Nappy smells of OXO cubes.

Hi there, this is our first post so here goes. We've just changed the brand of nappy our little girl (16 weeks really but was born 9 weeks prem) uses from Huggies to Pampers. Around the same time we noticed that when wet, her nappies smell faintly of OXO cubes. Is this normal, or could there be something more serious - such as a kidney infection? She isn't on any antibiotics and her food is unchanged.

Thanking you in advance,

Mr. Pants.

If you only noticed it when you changed brands then that to me suggests it's the nappies. Why not give another brand a go and see (smell!) what happens.

We use cloth nappies the vast majority of the time, but use disposables when on holiday etc - I can always tell the second he's done a wee because of the smell. Think it's something in the chemicals. Certainly it's not something I notice when he's in cloth.
