I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!
I am really really struggling with ds2 atm, he is 2.3yrs.
I just can't take his tantrums and really don't know how to deal with them. He, no word of a lie, has just mega tantrumed for 45min all because dp carried him up the stairs after he refused to come. 45minutes
He screamed and cried and screammed and stamped his feet and screamed. I first tried to hug him but that made it worse. I then tried to ignore him and he got louder. Then I told him if he wanted to scream, he would go to his room, so I put him in his bedroom and he continued.
He seemed to come out of it on his own and is now watching Bolt on dvd quietly.
I don't want to get into the habit of sending him to his room as I don't want that room to become a security blanket. My mum did it to my bro, sent him to his room when sshe couldn't handle him and he's only just come out of his bedroom, aged 26.
Please, what do I do??
The 45 min tantrums is a regular thing for very small reasons.
