Been using tots bots for over a year now on dd3. When I had bamboozles aplix size1 they seemed fine. For size2 i got cotton aplix tots bots but she is leaking out constantly day and night and I've now had to move on to disposables. Not sure if its the cotton thats making the difference or if the tots bots aren't cutting it now she's gettin older.

Unfortunately, not much cash so I've bought second hand so far - hence the change to cotton when prefer bamboozles.

Can anyone tell me what i should be getting for heavy-wetter? I dont mind taking ages to dry - that's not important. As long as it fits well and is extra absorbant. Only other thing is must be cheap.

If anyone wants to sell me they're second-hand ones I'm open to offers..........

Thanx

I'd simply add a booster to the cotton nappies. Bamboo is more absorbent weight for weight than cotton, so she may be a bit of a heavy wetter. Plus being secondhand, if they've been used lots an d tumble dried, the fabric will by now be a lot thinner - Tots Bots stopped making their cotton nappies 2-3 years ago.

Do you still have your bamboozles? If the newer sort, the boosters will be poppered in so you could use those in your cotton nappies for extra absorbency, otherwise cut up an old towel.

Only got bamboozles in size 1 and way too skint to buy anymore new at the moment. Just have to hope the lottery comes up! Thanx for advice though. It explains a lot. I didn't realise how old the nappies would be!

Another good cheap way to boost is microfibre cleaning cloths. You can sometimes pick up a 4 or 5 pack in pound shops. They are not as good as hemp or bamboo boosters, but the can soak up a fair bit for not too much bulk.

Or have a look on some preloved sites or see if you have a local nappy network who runs a preloved list or sale. The more hemp is washed the better it gets so preloved is usually better.
