Does anyone else wonder how the Sears kids turned out?

I read "Little Angels" a while ago and am using lots of the techniques with my children, I don't know exactly what you would call it, "attachment parenting?"

I find that I struggle to be patient and try not to lose my temper but it's hard! I often wonder if the Sears couple are total saints as they seem so patient and understanding.

Anyway, I'm curious to know how their 8 kids turned out! Hopefully well-adjusted, polite, helpful, empathetic, considerate etc etc. Does anyone happen to know?

Four of the eight children are doctors, don't know if that means polite or well-adjusted though Smile.

I think it's important to shoot for 'good enough' and forget about perfect when it comes to motherhood.

I think it's really important to treat one's children in a way that seems morally and ethically right, right now, rather than judging a parenting style or philosophy by its outcomes.

This is partly because sometimes people gravitate towards particular ways of parenting because of the needs of their children - very high needs children with sensory issues are quite likely to demand something attachment parent-y as babies, and they may go on to be quite high octane, but I wouldn't judge AP as a failure because of that.

Process not product is my mantra Smile

I think they are all doing okay Grin
