Hand me down shoes?

Good reuse of ridiculously priced kids shoes or an evil that will forever deform your Childs foot if they don't wear properly fitted virgin shoes.... Bit of a debate going on in this house.

Ds2 wearing hand me down crocs/wellies etc but not every day school shoes etc as he has wider feet than ds1.

What do you do?

I would say that was fine. Not everyday shoes though as the insoles will be moulded to the previous owners feet.

No handmedown proper shoes, wellies etc ok. I had to have handmedown shoes when I was a child and it was horrible, not embarrassment, but uncomfortable. Shoes do mould to the individual foot and even if the same size it was really unpleasant to wear shoes that had reshaped inside to someone elses shape.

No matter who broke I would never do it.

I was just wondering today whether to keep DD1s velcro Doodles sandals for DD2 or not..

My ds 2 wore his brothers doodles sandals all yesterday.. so I would keep them justventinreally.
