Tell me I can get this done

OK. So I have about 1/3 of a plan and some vague ideas in my head, but my essay is due to be submitted by midnight tonight. Tell me I can get it done (bearing in mind I am working til 6pm!)

How many words? There's he question. Haven't even got to that yet! Probably 2,000 (or thereabouts).

I can probably do it if I am left in complete silence (have arranged for DH and DD to go to cinema).

I would recommend that you draft a rough outline of the essay asap, even at work with a piece of paper and pen in your pocket to note down any thoughts that pop into your head. Then once everyone goes out, turn off the internet/radio/tv (very distracting lol), make a coffee with some sugar and get writing! It will need to be a brainstorming writing session, but go for it. Let us know how you get on :-)

2000 words done and submitted. The plan took longer than the essay, but that is normal for me.

Fingers crossed it's not complete rubbish.

Off to bed with a glass of wine now.

(and my DH and my DD were lovely - DD even brought me one of her lollies before she went to bed)

Well done HSMM! A deadline is a great motivator and it certainly worked for you. Just got to wait for the result, but they cannot say you didn't try. Very impressive :)
