OK, rushing around this morning to go out for a picnic with the kids and my parents, went into bathroom cabinet and was fumbling around in there for her excema cream. Put the cream on finish getting kids dressed and off we go out. This afternoon we got back and I went to the loo upstairs and just happened to see an old packet of contraceptive pill tucked in towards the back of the loo. It must have fallen out. Now in my rational mind I know dd (almost 2) didn't get hold of the packet, we quickly got dressed and left and she didn't go upstairs when we got in but i am so stressed out....I suffer anxiety and this has got me paniced....don't know why Im posting...dp not home yet and have got myself in a state.

Just wanted to give you quick hug and reassurance - the fact that you are worried about this shows that you are a responsible mother.

In terms of being rational nothing happened and your daughter is fine and proabably never even noticed the pills. Maybe moving all medicines to a locked box would help you worrying about this happening again? I did this after my DD1 came to me with an open bottle of calpol (she was 2).

Thanks, I don't even take the bloomin things, why they're in there I don't know....I would have known, the packet would have been bitten and she would have showed me, or I'd have seen blue round her mouth where she would have spat them out....I wish I could control this anxiety

I feel your anxiety and raise you ds walking in to the bathroom with my blister pack of statins! Don't worry, I'm sure your dd didn't touch them and even if she saw the packet she's still have to work out how to get into them. Plus as the pill is only hormones I'm not sure it would do any harm - but please don't quote me on that as I may be completely wrong.
Deep breaths and moving on.
