Should I try a dummy?

DD (16 weeks) is going through an awful sleep pattern at the moment. She's teething, so have been alternating Dentinox/Anbesol with Calpol at night when she seems to need it. She's waking 5 times a night, am trying very hard not to feed to sleep each time but I'm so tired that it's very tempting. She's never had a dummy - they tried one when she was in SCBU after she was born but she wouldn't take it. She won't take a bottle either. I was wondering if I should maybe try a dummy at night now? Or is that daft?

IMO it can't hurt to try anything that might give you and her a better night's sleep.
DD had a dummy from 4 weeks until 7 mo and then we went cold turkey with absolutely no problems.
