leaky nappies

Help ladies. DD is 20 months and we've been in washables since birth (different sizes obviously). I'm using a mix of ellas house hemp/bumhuggers with motherese wraps and some AIOs (5 bitti d'lish and one tots bots easyfit) and also have a bumble, a nature babies loveable and a motheese one size dry

anyway the past 2 weeks she is soaking through all but a bumhugger or nature babies loveable within 2-3 hours. I can't boost the bitti's any more than they are or they won't do up. Am going to try a hemp stuffer in the easyfit later.

I thought the easyfit was one size birth to potty. she's 20 months and not quite 9kg so not that big. I'm thinking of buying some more nappies in the next size as we went out of our newborn ones at about 8 months when they just wouln't hold the wee. The motherse one size with the booster in lasts 90 mins before there is urine pouring from it and pooling inside the wrap (hooray for motherse wraps though as they don't really seem to leak just get a puddle in)

Roll on her being keen to ptty train - she really pees like an elephant

Is it an easyfit v2 you have? It has a pocket so you can stuff an extra bamboo booster in there or try hemp. I like the little lamb bamboo booster (size 2) it is rectangular and fits in most pocket nappies (not an Itti though). Do you think it is not fitting her or just not coping with the volume of wee? An easyfit v2 will still fit on my DD1 who is 3 - dry in the day but I try things on her just in the interest of nappy research !
I also like bamboozle stretch (size 2 is BTP) from totsbots and if you have reliable wraps then they should be a good option - not too pricey either at about £9.95 each. They come with a popper in insert but you can easily add another LL bamboo insert - this is what I was using at night for DD2 when she was still feeding in the night or I used a bumhugger again with a motherease wrap Smile
If you are wanting a pocket then the wonderoo v2 is recommended - it has a bamboo and a MF insert and bamboo is obviously very absorbant. I just have some of the old style ones and they have a big pocket so lots can be stuffed in there.
Another good choice is the Flip cover - you can easily fit in a stay dry and a cotton insert which should really soak up a lot of wee.
Before you give up on your ittis have you tried the extra mini insert?

it is an easyfit v2 - will try a hemp booster it it (have tons of hemp boosters)

I hate the bamboozles - too wide between the legs and my one got horrifically stained by a very ordinary poo (in spite of a liner)

I've given upon cloth overnight - we just managed a night in a bumhugger with 2 hemp doublers and one extra hemp booster and a terry booster - poor child could barely walk to the cot and was just dry in the morning but it's too much hassle unless we run out of disposables

I think the itti's are just too small - we had this isse when we had to move up from her first lot of bamboo nappies, she was just wet all the time and then increasing the size seemed to help. she really does wee for britain though

I had leaky BumGenius v3 for a while until I read on MN about vest extender which mean that the vest is not putting any pressure on the nappy. Maybe worth a try?
I also over boost the using 2 newborn insert, 2 bamboo and one normal size.

Good luck

vests not tight at all - even happens in baggy bottoms and no vest
