tescos-a pampers rip off?

We got our latest batch of vouchers in the post yesterday. Included in the leaflet was a 'double the value of your vouchers' with pampers products i.e. £5 becomes £10. we thought this was good value until we checked the shelf: the simply dry nappies (pampers cheapest range) were priced £6.50 for a small packet, the same price as the babydry and active fit. this is nearly twice as much as they are in sainsburys (£3.49) and over twice the price as they are in savers (£2.99) neither are these on offer, and tescos themselves were selling them at £3.50 last week.
so this means that the week that tescos makes a special offer of double value vouchers for pampers it doubles the price of its pampers napppies.

Yep they were on watchdog last week i think, selling items 2 for £5 and they were £2.50 anyway, looks like they are doing the same tricks with the nappies too. I dont use disposable nappies as i think they are a rip off anyway so we use washables but i would certainly be going in to complain if they were double the price of everywhere else! £6.50 for a packet of nappies is a joke, shame on tesco lol.
