Potty training - week 3 and still not asking - should I keep going?

Have 2 year, 4 month old daughter potty training, dry on some days, 1/2/3 accidents other days... (have also had chickenpox in last week!)

She is still only occasionally asking to go though (once a day or every other day), have to keep reminding her... is this normal - should I keep going with it?

I can only go on my own experience with DD1, she was 2.8 and had chicken pox so i decided if we were going to be stuck in the house then we might as well try potty training - reckon we were lucky with the timeing as at the end of day 2 she was asking every time. If it was me i would assume she wasn't ready and try again in a month but thats because i have watched some friends persevere from an early age and end up with dry kids later than those who have started trying months later (and got it really quickly). lots of people seem to say that when they are ready they get it really quickly.

I agree and would say leave it for a few weeks too, it may take a few goes, and then all of a sudden they get it and its not a struggle it just seems to happen, you could persevere, but its really not worth the headache IMO, she will get it soon enough. And as summer is on its way (fingers crossed not another damp squib) you can have more free nappy time which helps.
