The label says not to but it is impossible to dry? Has anyone actually tried it successfully? Often they put don't tumbledry on to cover themselves but it cost a fortune so don't want to ruin it. On the other hand it is bloody useless on the raidator at tme moment it needs to be on the bed. NOW!

Never tried the tumble dryer, was an expensive cover so didnt want to ruin it, I just put our in the airing cupboard and that seems to dry it in about 10 hours or so.

Mine says don't tumble dry, but it's fine. It's the type with terry towelling on top. Otherwise takes days to dry.

Er - be very careful when you get it out of the dryer, PSP - I did this once and ruined it (waterproof part came out with holes in).

Get a couple from la redoute after this; they make heavy-duty flat ones with PVC back and flannelette or terry top, with strip-elastic corners, and they can be washed at 90 and tumble dried endlessly - they're about £13 for a single-bed size.

website - search for "flat mattress protector" in Interieurs. (I realise this won't help you tonight but for future ref...)

I did think that might happen JanH .. luckily it is still draped over the radiator! Useful thing but impossible to dry.
