cosleeping - head on arm

I am cosleeping with dd2, 2 weeks old. She is only happy lying with her head on my arm. Is this normal? I remember dd1 on the mattress rather than on me, but we coslept from older. Could it cause flat head? My arm is a little plump if that helps!

I don't know the definitive answer, but my DD has often slept with her head on my arm - actually more like her neck on my arm and head on my pillow. She seems fine and is nearly 7 months old.

Mine did this from 8 weeks to about 5 months (at which point she got wriggly, so I laid her down below my arm, not on it) and she was fine with it. When she was smaller, it also helped her to be in the right place for feeding.

I still do this with my DD and she seems fine.

She co-sleeps with me normally sleeping on her side of the bed but sometimes when she's upset we sleep like this as it comforts her. It has worked fine for us and I quite like it!
