This is maybe a daft question...

Leaving DS with granny for whole afternoon for first time (wah!). He doesn't normally have breastmilk in the afternoon (5.5mo, on solids for few weeks. BF on demand as and when he feels like it, but this is generally just at mealtimes during day) but thought I would express a feed just in case. My boobs had other ideas and only managed to get about 3ozs! Can I add a little cooled boiled water to it so there is a wee bit more (say up to 5ozs)?

Well, I think you could...but he might rejest it for tasting different. I think best to give him 3, then a fresh bottle of cool boiled water if he's still a bit sucky.
He'll be fine!

Thanks. I know he'll be fine, it's me I'm worried about! (is sitting in cafe across the road with binoculars a bit obsessive?!) [winks]

Will he drink ready-made formula? You could have one of those little 200ml bottles of formula to hand, if he would accept that. Unlikely he'll need it anyway by the sounds of things but might put your mind at rest that an alternative was available if needed.
