I am wanting to move 20 miles from where I live but as father has got pr and a contact order can he stop me? The contact would remain the same and he probably would get extra. He said he would object but need to let where I am moving too if it is yes or no. I don't want to end up where the court asks me to come back. How do I go about it???

no experience of this but didn't want to read and run. 20 miles is hardly a huge distance, especially if you both drive. I think it is unlikely a judge would order you to return home, move houses and schools etc again. there re lots of people on here who live much further from their exs than that.

Agree If you both drive and he will get more or same contact can't see the objection - maybe post/look in legal issue area as there seem to be loads of posts about this kind of thing there

I'm sure there must be some organisation that can provide sound advice - something like Citizen's Advice Bureau might be able to help or point you in the right direction? I would not move without being aware of the possible implications or outcomes first.
