I am an amputee and every summer go through the same thing - summer shoes :(

I want to wear lovely pretty slip ons but they fall off my foot

Any ideas?? have already tried velcro but came unstuck

How would you feel about stitching a piece of skin tone elastic across the instep like a ballet shoe ?

Or stick a pop sock/stocking into the shoe with some UHU so that the pop sock/stocking will hold the shoe on

they are brilliant ideas!!!

These are the shoes - the elastic idea might help round my heel

Yup, I think you could glue some elastic in to go round your heel no prob.

I've just stuck velcro on the back of my phone so I can stick it to my splint on my non functioning hand and talk while on the pc - am well chuffed with it. So I am totally sad Grin

Grin

just bought heavy duty velcro from ebay

what glue do you think would be strong enough to hold the elastic? never thought of gluing it on

Try UHU - I think it will get into the elastic enough to hold it to the inside of the leather

ok will do thanks Grin
