How big a jump is it from level 2 to level 3 at the OU?

I am currently studying a level 2 course after 12+ years break from study. It's hard work, lots of reading and it's easy to fall behind if I'm sick or busy or whatever. I'm doing ok though averaging a pass 2.

My tutor has advised me that I should do a level 3 courses next, so as to get them done before prices go up, then I just have 30 points at level 2 to get my degree.

This fills me with dread-I'm not ready for level 3

I think this depends on the course. I am taking SM358 which I have found ok and haven't really noticed a jump. I am also taking S383 which is a pain in the backside. The first 4 chapter have been so tough that I had considered giving up. If you look on the course reviews and speak to your tutors you should get some idea of which are a nice transition.

Hi Proles-how's your wrist/arm?

Thanks , so you think I'll be ok with a level 3 then?

I'm toying with the idea of DD306 or A326. Has anyone done either of these?

It does look brilliant, I did study politics years ago I was set to do joint honours History and politics, but it's only recently I've even found a politics course with the OU, where do they hide them?

DVDs might be a problem as I only have a netbook and no dvd drive hmm. I to prefer the books which is a good thing about A207 it's almost entirely books Smile.

I suppose there's still time to think about it.

Am a bit disappointed no one has said I should just do the level 2. 30 point easy option next year
