High Street detergents

Hi Everyone

We use Bumgenius V3 for DS and am a big fan. I've been using TotsBots Magic Potion to wash them but was wondering whether any of the detergents available in a supermarket would be suitable? If not, then does anyone know where the cheapest place to get the Magic Potion is?

Thanks

You can use pretty much anything tbh. Just nothing with built in fabric conditioner and only use half what you would use for a standard clothes wash.

If you want to use your standard powder or gel or whatever, after you have washed and dried a nappy load get an insert or nappy and swish it about in a bowl of cold water. If you see detergent residue (lots of small tiny bubbles) then you are using too much and will end up with detergent residue.

I use the Aquados simply range, one powder tab does just fine and never get build up unless I did something wrong. Am lucky though, am in a soft water area which helps.

We used Fairy for a while but our Tesco now stocks potion so I buy that in my weekly shop.

I use a non bio on my BG V3, normally fairy but whatever really. I always use less than half the recommended amount of powder though to avoid build up on the nappies.

I use cloth to save money so I'm not prepared to spend on an 'extra' like the Magic Potion, but I am very tight!

I don't use any detergents. I use eco-balls with a couple of drops of citronella oil in the drawer to make sure they smell fresh. I have no problems with either staining or smells and it works out ALOT cheaper!

Thanks everyone, have got a lot of Fairy non-bio at the moment (was on special offer!) so will try that in first instance.
