Three month old with bleeding nipple

Yesterday when changing my 3 month old daughter for bed I noticed she had little spots of blood all over her vest where it had been against her right nipple. There's no cut or anything so I guess it must have come from her nipple. There seemed to be quite a bit, though these things always look worse than they are, don't they?
Am a bit concerned as I won't be able to take her to the docs till Wednesday as we are away for a funeral. Only thing that's been out of the ordinary for her recently is a big growth spurt last week and then mild allergic reaction to her men c vaccine, which gave her hives
on her face.
Anyone had any experience of this?

No experience I'm afraid, but remember that wherever you are you can go and see a GP by filling in a form which just says you're an 'out-of-towner'. Hopefully it was a one-off and perhaps caused by some rubbing, but if bleeding continues i would get it checked out. xx
