I'm suddenly all clumsy!

I'm a first time mum of a 6 week old DS. My DH and I have become very clumsy, I've smashed three crystal glasses in one week and DH dropped a plate the other day. It's only just occured to me that this may be down to the fact that we havent' had any proper sleep since DS was born! !! Has anyone else become clumsy since the birth of their child? What can we do about it? Thought we might try taking ginko biloba or similar. Any thoughts?

DS is 5 months old, since he was born I've crashed the car twice, having previously been crash free for 16 years of childless driving. I try not to drive too much now.

My advice is to use cheap glasses and plates.

I almost got run over in a car park for forgetting to check for traffic before walking away from the car. This was when dd was about 2 weeks old. She has been sleeping through since 5 weeks old so I am much better now.

oh poor you...yes its sleep deprivation...
i ended up hallucinating with baby no 1..it was that bad
My advice would be to do 'shiftwork' when it gets really bad and let each other catch up with sleep whilst the other cares for the baby
Congratulations btw!
