Hi,
My step daughter is 9 years old and lives in Australia. I need to post her a present for her birthday and have NO idea what to get her (my DD is 19 months so not up to speed with what 9 year old girls like!)
Any ideas? Obviously needs to be quite light for postage. I was thinking maybe a bag or a top? Any suggestions for shops or gifts much appreciated. TIA

Girls here that age LURRVE Claires accessories. Cutie tins of lip salve, hairbrushes, slides - basically stuff that mimics more grown up girls. Otherwise a book? Think clothes are a bit too risky, but a bag might be nice. Don't new look do a girls section?

Something from Claire's accessories would go down well with DD and her friends.

She is also fond of a top (H&M or Next gor down well) or stationery items...

Agree. A goodie bag of light stuff from Claire's accessories. Try not to get anything that will melt though. Tis hot out there.

Could you get her a gift voucher for Claires in Aus dollars. Not sure if there is a branch out there though.

That's a great idea, I hadn't thought of that. I'd thought of a swimming bag - how dull am I??!!
I'm sure she'd much prefer hair stuff and make up!
Thanks everyone
