I've appealed my DLA decision and got some paperwork through this morning which contained my doctors report. I thought he had been very good and supportive but he has written down things completely wrong on the report.

How can having 1 MRI scan be extensive testing?

I was going to the surgery to see him nearly every week but he says I went infrequently and didn't mention the pain I was in.

I asked for a second opinion so he sent me to see a rheumatologist who diagnosed me with fibromyalgia but in his report he only says I wasn't happy with the diagnosis and I might only possibly have fm.

I am fed up with being fobbed off like this, I am practically housebound and use a wheelchair most of the time, but apparently I have nothing wrong with me.

I used to have a job and a horse and a good life, why would I want to be like this for no reason?

I really want to change doctors now :(

Can I change doctors?

Oh poor you. That really is rubbish. Are you able to discuss this with the practise manager? Ask to meet and go armed with dates and times of all your appointments if you can, together with the information you should have received from the hospital consultations.

I haven't had to apply for DLA, but is it worth contacting them about the doctor's report and asking what can be done about the massive inaccuracies?

I don't blame you for wanting to change doctors - I think you can only go to your other local surgeries and ask if they are able to take you on. I know that around my area, it's quite difficult to change because they're all so busy, but it's worth a try.

If you don't get a satisfactory response, I think there's a complaints procedure you can follow with your local PCT. Worth looking that up too.

You must feel like you've been knocked down and just told to cope - it's really horrid.

I hope you get some help soon.

Its crap but shout, chase and make a fuss
It shouldn't be this way but people who stomp their feet often get resolution quicker
Oh and complain
I hate it because when your this exhausted to begin with (I have RA not FM )you shouldn't need to fight to be heard but often you do
I hope you get somewhere
