I am hopefully going to finish my degree next year with ME625 and either ME626 or ME627, they are the maths Developing geometric thinking, algebra thinking and statistical thinking courses. I was wondering if anyone has done them.

I would like to know how much study it took you a week, plus who did you use as your KS2-4 'pupils'?
Thanks Smile

I am currently doing ME625. I have only done the first week so far. I am going to be using my DD who is in year 2 but has reached her end of year targets for KS1. I might also pester DP who left school without any qualifications. My sister also said she would be available if I tutor her, she is in year 11.

The book seems well written and easy to follow. There are allot of exercises to work through. Not sure that I will do any more of these courses. I don't really want to go into teaching and they are very expensive. If you are sure that you want to go into teaching then the books are well worth the money as they have tonnes of ideas that you can develop into lesson plans.

Thankyou for your reply. I am going to ask my neighbours two DD's I think as they are the right age. It is teaching maths that I want to go into. And you're right, the courses are very expensive!
