My DS is nearly three weeks old and we are unable to get him to sleep by himslef on a night time. During the day he will sleep in his pram top on his own but won't do this during the night so ends up in our bed every night. Does anybody have any tips or is he too young to try to get into a routine? Thanks.

Far too young, sorry. Get sleep where and when you can.

Take care. :)

I agree, just do whatever works and allows you to get some sleep! It will get better, maybe sooner than you think. I think DD went to sleep on her own (with lullaby playing) in her cot from around 2 months, though we sometimes still struggled to get her back down again during the night after feeds. We started a set bedtime routine around 6 weeks, and it has paid off in the long run, but don't expect it to be a quick fix. Good luck!

Agreed, do whatever works. Right now we are using a combination of cosleeping, sleeping on top of Mum or Dad, Moses Basket and baby bouncer! Our babe is 4 weeks.

Far too young. Just go with whatever he needs, don't give yourself the hassle of trying to introduce any kind of bedtime thing yet. I started trying that at 8 weeks, which looking back, was still a bit too young as we all struggled with it. Right now, just cuddle your DS and go with whatever he needs x

i have four week old. swaddeling works for me. I also make sure he has lots of wake time and feeds during the day and evening. he goes to bed at night when we do.
