calpol Question

Is it possible that calpol has given DS 11mo, nappy rash?
He has only had tiny bits of red down there before which lasted 1/2 a day but this morning he had a very smelly poo and has a bright red and v sore looking bum and bits. This has come up over night as he was fine after his bath last night.
We gave him calpol as he was in pain with a tooth emerging. Could there be a link?? Just with the particularly bad smelling poo as well??

Thanks for any ideas.

teetheing can cause dodgy poos, as they salivate excessively.

More likely the teething causing it than the calpol.

Agree, would think it was the teething not the calpol.

That sounds like teething to me. Not the calpol.

Thank you. He's so upset today and I was nervous of giving him any more calpol but I might now if he doesn't perk up after his lunch.
