Get a nit comb asap and if nothing else coat his hair in conditioner (after washing) and comb every strand of hair.

If i was you i would do this every day for a good week and if you see a live one get some treatment from the chemist.

Good luck!

Oh and wash bedding, hats, coats. Vac sofa and pillows too

Nits love clean hair so don't think it's a hygiene issue!

Get yourself to the chemists stat. The treatments stop them developing into full grown lice. Unfortunately, it's the kid of thing kids get all the time. I teach and there's always someone with them!

On and I agree on bedding etc, wash it all.

My kids had head lice for a whole year! I just couldn't get rid of them. I tried all the lotions and potions and nothing worked. Eventually someone suggested the Nit Comb & Conditioner idea and we did that for a week and they were gone. To prevent them coming back, dab a bit of Lavender Oil behind the children's ears in the morning. Head Lice hate Lavender and should stay away.
