Posted this elsewhere - apparently there are quite a few :-) I've just registered, going to start in October, really looking forward to it. It's something I've wanted to do for years, but life kept getting in the way.

I'd love to hear from any fellow students, but especially from anyone studying the History BA.

Welcome TallyBGrin there are quite a few OUers in here studying all sorts. Hopefully you'll be too organised to have to join any of the procrastinators threads for those of us who cannot get down to finishing assignments. Must get back to mine as the light is glimmering at the end of the tunnel and I don't want to lose momentum.

Hi there! I'm currently studying DSE212 (Exploring Psychology) and finding it fairly heavy going (like jogging through treacle really). The subject matter is great though, I just need to motivate myself a bit more! I did DD101 (Intro to Soc Sci) last year and loved it.

Hello! I'm currently studying ED209 (Child Development), CatPower, I did DSE212 a couple of years back and really enjoyed it (in the main!). Am really enjoying it although do struggle with motivation from time to time!

I am doing AA100 (The Arts Past and Present) and I love it but need to be more organised! I registered for a Humanities BSc and plan to continue with a mix of history and art history courses. On the other hand International Studies looks good too - so many courses, not enough time.....

KateF · 09/03/2011 10:52

Obviously I meant a Humanities BA - doh!

Hi Tally

7th year with the Ou and the end is in sight!

I have done a mix of maths and science and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Good luck with your studies

Hi I'm in my 5th year and I started with science then switched to maths. I'm hoping to finish next year.
Life always gets in the way Grin, but you learn to fit it in. I would have finished this year but ds2 arrived Smile

Tally posted this on your other thread but I am currently completing my final module for my BA(Hons) History with a view to graduating in September. Started when DD2 was 18 months and she will be six at the end of September.

History is a fantastic course but watch out for A200, compulsory but a killer Grin

Good Luck and feel free to shout for specific History help - you might need this Wine

I'm in my fourth year, only one to go until I graduate. I will be sticking with the OU for life though. I have seen so many courses that I want to take. I am currently studying SM358, S383 and ME625. Good luck with your course/s.

Hello I'm currently studying A207 from Enlightenment to Romanticism.

It comes under the umbrella of History, but is multidisciplinary and I'm not sure you can use it towards History BA for much longer and I can see why; not really enough History in it for my liking.

It's my 1st course with the OU and it seems very different to me than 'proper' university, but it is very satisfying.

Good luck Smile

Hi, I'm doing E112 sport, fitness and management and I'm enjoying the reading and research. I was doing well but have just missed a deadline so my advice for next year is try to do everything a week early, that way there will be time for disasters! I'm sure you'll enjoy it too

Oumasrusks · 18/03/2011 06:28

I'm also doing History and I've already completed AA100 and A207 and I'm registered to do A200 in October.

craftynclothy · 18/03/2011 09:55

Me Smile

I started my first course in Feb - Object Oriented Programming with Java (M255). Going well so far and am managing to stay a little ahead, though don't know how much longer that'll last Hmm

Raggydoll · 19/03/2011 20:40

I'm do the Humanaities BA with History and RE. So far I have done aa100 (the arts past and present), a200 (medieval to modern) and currently doing a217 (introdcing religions).

what have you registered for?

ElenStone · 30/03/2011 03:55

I'm studying towards the Psychology degree, I've finished DSE212 and DZX222, I'm taking my deferred ED209 exam next month and I've just started SD226. It's great to be able to fit studying around everything else, but I must admit it makes it so much harder to motivate yourself at times!
